Weigh-In Wednesday No More!

I've decided that I am not going to be weighing myself each week anymore, I'm now going to weigh myself every other week. So now "Weigh-In Wednesday" will now be "Checking In Wednesday" or something along those lines. I need to think of a creative name for it. If you have an idea feel free to comment :)

In my pursuits of becoming "focused" and not "obsessed" I decided that the first thing I need to wean myself off of is the scale, well not completely but I feel like I obsess over that number each Wednesday, it can make or break my day. I also find that the day before weigh-in I try so hard to eat perfectly, it's like cramming for a test. I don't feel like that is healthy.

I am going to try and focus on my fitness and nourishing my body. Try not to be obsessed with the number on the scale...I know this is going to be hard. I have gone back and forth on whether or not I even want to post this entry, but I know that I have to, it will keep me healthy and maybe even help someone else.

I started Brazil Butt Lift again, I had gotten great results from it the last time I did it, so I know if I just stick with it I'll have the same or better results! I'll have a post up soon with all my measurements...eeeeek!

Weigh-In Wednesday

So incredibly excited to say that I stayed on track all week, tracked every food point and it paid off!!!

I lost 2lbs! I'm 157lbs again!! wooot wooot!!!! I am so proud of myself, and I want to continue to stay on track, I know it will be hard but I know I can do it!

I feel like I need to get back to being "crazy" Jill who was so obsessed with the points and exercise. I know that is probably not the healthiest, but being "relaxed" Jill hasn't helped me maintain and definitely has NOT helped me lose. I really hope I figure out that happy medium soon.

I recently read a post from Simply Healthy Mama about the struggle to not always be the "fat girl". Honestly it felt like she had read my mind when she wrote that. You all should check out that post, and her blog.

This past Sunday there was a hot air balloon festival in my hometown, KBeaner and I were lucky enough to be visiting so we went on a "hot air balloon adventure" aka driving around town taking pictures and "oo-ing" and "aw-ing" over the balloons. Here are a couple pictures. It was so beautiful watching them float over the cemetery.

Watermelon Strawberry Popsicles

I don't know about you but it's been super hot here. So hot that we haven't been able to play outside that much, when we do its not for very long. I have been trying so hard to not have KBeaner stuck in front of the TV. So yesterday we made something to keep us cool and busy...

We made Popsicles!! Watermelon strawberry to be exact!


First we smashed up some watermelon and strawberries, we had only a few strawberries left so it was mostly watermelon.

Once you have it all smashed up, put it in the Popsicle holders, now if you don't have Popsicle holders just use Dixie cups and some Popsicle sticks.

Now its the hard part... waiting for the Popsicles to freeze! It took most of the afternoon, we had them as a nice treat after dinner.

They were delicious and they have no artificial coloring, and no added sugar!

BTW if you're wondering, I have tracked all of my WW points everyday since Wednesday, so far I've only used 1 point of my Weekly Extra points!! woo hoo!!

Weigh-in Wednesday and Boat day!!

I hope you all had a great weekend and week so far. I know I have, even though we're in a heat wave.

Monday was Boat Day!! My good friends invited us out onto their boat, I haven't been on a boat in a really long time, and it was KBeaner's first time ever on a boat. Not going to lie, I was kind of nervous to be in my two piece bathing suit... but I did it. And guess what?! I didn't die of embarrassment, and honestly I didn't feel that self conscious. Talk about a Non Scale Victory!!!

Thank goodness I had that NSV because I did not lose any weight this week, I did not gain any either (which is the part I should concentrate on). I realize that even though I felt like I was trying to stay on track this week, I obviously didn't try hard enough. I tracked my points about 60% of the time. I need to get back to 100% of the time! I am trying to not be tough on myself, anything is better than not tracking at all.

I have been working on planks, squats and push ups. I can now do a 28 second plank, 50 squats (at one time), and 13 push ups (at one time). I know its not a lot of exercise, but it is a little bit, and its something I know I can do every day, even if I feel super lazy. I also went for a 1.6 mile walk with my daughter this past week (before it became too hot), it was a lot of fun, and I later measured the mileage with my car and now know how far I have to go to make it exactly 2 miles. I plan on doing it again once it cools off a bit.

I am going to try harder this week than I did last week, I have to take it every meal, every snack and every craving at a time.

Weigh In Wednesday.. a day late

I weighed in yesterday, expecting to see 155lbs which would mean that I had maintained. Nope I gained 4 lbs!!! I'm hoping it was mostly water weight.

This past week I ate alright, some meals I ate better than others. I did workout a little bit. Even though it was only a little bit it was more than what I had been doing. Last week I talked about challenging myself to do a plank everyday, push ups and squats every other day and see how many I can do at one time. I now can do a 26 second plank, 35 squats at one time and 10 push ups! I know to many that doesn't sound like much but for me that's good!

I also did a Brazil Butt Lift workout on the 4th of July! I had gone for a walk up to a parade in the morning and figured that would be my exercise for the day, but my friend  convinced me to do the workout with her. I am so happy that I did it, working out with a friend is a lot more entertaining that working out alone.

So far I have tracked my food yesterday and today, I also went for a 40 minute walk since it wasn't too hot today. I'm trying to concentrate on getting back to the basics. Weigh In Wednesday

My first Weigh In Wednesday in a long time! I stayed the same at 155 lbs.

I've been struggling to get back into working out, my back has been bothering me.. most likely because I have not been working out! When my back hurts it's easy to use that as an excuse, well I've been trying really hard not to use that as an excuse. I may not be able to workout as long and as vigourously as I normally would if I wasn't hurting, but I need to just grin and bear it!

On Monday I did Brazil Butt Lift Bum Bum Rapido which is a quick 10 minute workout. I also went mini golfing.. can't really count it as exercise but it was a ton of fun!!

Tuesday I decided that I should challenge myself to get stronger. I'm going to try to do a plank every day, also push ups and squats but alternate days for those two. Tuesday I did a 20 sec plank, and 6 good push ups. I hope that I can increase those numbers every time I do them!

Today I did 30 squats and another 20 second plank. I've also been trying really hard to track points and drink lots of water. Check back next week to see how the rest of my week has gone...
