Shaving Cream and Volcano Eggs

It's Easter weekend! Which besides it being a holiday and a time for being together with loved ones... it means lots of egg related crafts!

Since KBeaner and I have both been sick this week, we did not get to do as many of the Easter crafts that I wanted to do, but we did get to do two awesome ones!

Our first Easter craft was Shaving Cream Easter Egg Paintings found on this blog. It was so easy and a lot of fun.

First I spread out shaving cream on a baking sheet then KBeaner added drops of paint where she liked. Next she swirled it around with a paint brush. We then put pieces of card stock that I had cut into egg shaped into the shaving cream, when you pick them up they're covered in shaving cream, next you use a squeegee to take off the shaving cream. Magically the paint will stay on the paper. KBeaner loved it, and so did I! I plan on doing this craft again, maybe to make cards or small wrapping paper.
the finished product!

I think KBeaner's favorite part was playing with the shaving cream/paint

Today we dyed our eggs, using the Volcano Egg method found on this blog. I've always loved dyeing Easter eggs, but this way by far is my favorite way!

You make the "paint" by mixing about a TBSP of baking soda, 2 TSP of water and a few drops of food coloring.

Now paint your eggs!

Then you put (or drop) them into a container of vinegar! *I think we had filled the container with too much vinegar, my thought is, is that if it was a smaller amount maybe the reaction would have seemed larger.

Enjoy the fizzies!!

You can add more paint to your eggs and fizz them again or just let them dry.

These are our eggs!

After we were done with the eggs, we had even more fun by dumping the leftover "paint" into the vinegar!

I also wanted to let you all know that I started working out again, and started the Brazil Butt Lift where I left off, so I have now completed week 2! I already feel so much stronger and toned!

Happy Easter and Happy Weekend!

Weigh In Day

Hey everyone! It's weigh in day!! I didn't really want to weigh in this morning, I've been sick, and eating well and exercising has not been my number one priority this past week or so.

I'm happy to say I lost 1 lb and I am back down to 156lbs!! I am so excited!!

I am starting to feel better, I ended up getting put on antibiotics, my glands were so swollen that it looked like someone had put some golf balls in my throat.. not pretty and it was painful! My glands are still swollen and I don't feel 100% yet, but hopefully tomorrow I will have the energy  to workout.

Here's a pic of my weight loss graph for the past 3 months. As you can see I haven't been able to get under 156lbs, I'm hoping that I can push through this plateau soon. Not that I'm complaining, I'm super pumped to be at this weight, and realize I've come a long, long way...but I'm just one pound away from being in my "normal" weight range for my height. It is just so close!!! I know what I have to do.... workout harder and eat better, now I just have to do it!!

Weekly Weigh-in and Update

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been posting as much, I've been sick with a nasty cold.

Wednesday I weighed in and I'm 157lbs, I lost 2 of the 3 pounds that I had gained last week!! I'm happy with that, hopefully this coming week I can get past 156lbs, it seems like I'm stuck in this weight range. Although this is much better than when I was stuck at 200s!!

I haven't been doing the Brazil Butt Lift this week since I have been sick and have a sore back from pulling around a bunch of kids in the snow (I should have stretched!). I'm hoping I'll feel well enough tomorrow to start up again. I've actually missed working out!

It was the first day of Spring this week. Although if you looked out the window you wouldn't know that, instead of warm sunny weather we had cold snowy weather. Even though it was winter like outside, KBeaner and I still celebrated the beginning of Spring by painting a bird house.
painting!
It's not Spring without baseball.. even if its in the snow!

Have you celebrated Spring yet? If so what did you do? I have a long list of Spring-y crafts to do!

Weekly Weigh-In

It's Wednesday which means it's weigh in day. I am not excited about it this week.

I'm 159lbs, I gained 3lbs this week.

UGH.

I'd love to tell you "I have no clue how it happened...its a fluke", to be honest I wish I could lie to you all and just say I stayed the same this week, but I have to be honest to myself and all of you.

I know why I gained. I over ate foods that are high in calories, I didn't track all of the food that I ate. Since doing the Brazil Butt Lift I got this stupid idea in my head that I could relax a little on  keeping track of my points. I thought "oh I can have a little of this and and a little extra of that..." Yeah obviously I had "a little of this and a little extra of that" way too much!

I had to learn this tough lesson again. I have to stay on track, and with the program, just because I am working out does not mean I get a free pass to eat whatever I want.

Even though I gained this week, I feel good. I worked out for about an hour for 6  days in a row! Today is my rest day, I'm feeling sore, but I kind of love that pain in a weird way. I love knowing I am getting stronger and healthier.

I'm also feeling pretty good about my meal plan. So far I have stuck with my weekly meal plan! I had Chili on Sunday, Spaghetti Squash  Pesto with Sun Dried Tomatoes on Monday and Spaghetti Squash Tuna Casserole on Tuesday.

Tonight is Homemade Whole Wheat Pizza!!

Brazil Butt Lift

It was my Birthday weekend!!! I'm now 27.  Weird to type! I had such a great time getting to spend it with a couple of the besties! We had champagne (only 3pts for 5oz...that's a bargain!!), did make up and hair! All that fun girly stuff!!

I know a lot of people stress about getting older, I'm happy with it, I'm lucky to have had that many birthdays. PLUS I look and feel better than I did in my early 20s so I'll take that!!

Oh and I also really like presents! I can't help it, I've always been a spoiled brat, I'm better now but I still get overly excited about presents!! Don't worry I'm not going to be annoying and list all of my presents here.. although not going to lie...part of me wanted to, I told you I get overly excited!!

One of my best friends bought me the Brazil Butt Lift!!! I love it! I've been doing it since Thursday and its awesome! Even though my booty, legs and abs are so sore, it is so worth it!!

The videos are challenging for me, but are also fun. Who doesn't like shaking their booty??

I'm not going to post a before picture...I'm not ready for a bathing suit picture of me to be up on the Internet haha. I will give you all my starting measurements though...

Chest: 36 inches
Waist: 33 inches
Hips (at the widest part): 40 inches
Thighs:24 inches
Arms: 12.5 inches

Wish me luck! If any of you start doing the Brazil Butt Lift, share with me your results!!

Meal Plan 3-10-3/16

I've decided I want to start meal planning. In the past I have tried to plan meals, I always end up doing some of the meals I have planned but the majority of what I would plan went out the window.

This week I am going to plan and stick with it!

Meal Plan for the week of 3/10-3/16
  • Spaghetti Squash Pesto with Sun Dried Tomatoes
  • Chili
  • Meatloaf with Mashed Sweet Potatoes
  • Pizza
  • Spaghetti Squash Tuna Casserole
  • Salmon with Veggies and Rice
  • Leftovers
Now I'm not sure if I will make these dinners in this order, but I AM going to make all of these dinners this week! I will let you all know next Saturday if I made them all.

I am hoping to put up the recipes for the other meals this week.

Weight Loss Graph

Hey! It's Wednesday again which means its weigh-in day!

I maintained this week, still weigh 156lbs.

I'm alright with maintaining, I didn't eat the best food every day and I didn't get a lot of exercise in.

I made this graph of my weight loss using www.fridgegraph.com  I went through my notebook and put in every weigh-in I've had since starting this notebook in October. I wish I had kept my first notebook when I started Weight Watchers in May 2012, but thankfully I had most of the weights on here. I've heard that when you get smaller in weight that it is harder to lose, and that weight loss slows, which I guess is true, at least for me. My graph definitely shows my weight loss slowing down!

This graph shows my progress since starting Weight Watchers in May 2012!!

I like having the graph, it really helps me see how far I've come, the ups and the downs. If you use Fridge Graph add me as a friend my username is fitandfrugalmama. Right now I'm only using the graph, but I might start checking out the forums on there. Has anyone ever used that site?

On a non-weight loss note... I'm very excited to say KBeaner is finally POTTY TRAINED!! Woot Woot!!!
